Simple answer: Low salary.
I had a time to go for Freelance some years ago, after this time, now I was back into it. At this time, I did freelance for gaining experience but now I do for money.
Well, I might think such a clever problem to say that the lower your salary is, the lower your tax. In Vietnamese, every technology companies do tax evasion. I guess salary should not be my top priorities in a job but now it might be the current problem I think. What I should think of is that first when I have a job. The problem is I am not unemployed. Next problem, that salary can increase as my years of working also increases. Just think of the possible things that low salary can do to me. No. But that seem doesn’t have things to increase my salary in company too.
As many peoples, I was taken part in companies after several rounds of job interviews, I’ve finally been offered the position for which I’ve been pining. Upon accepting the offer, my future bosses rattles off all the benefits I’ll receive including medical, dental, vacation days, and my NET salary. But then he gets around to my starting salary, and it’s less than I expected.
During working time, I was try to work with much of inspiration, do the best job. But seem nothing could satisfy better than money. Doing Freelance, I also gain much experience than I could expected in my company, such a bunch of exploration and money I could get as equivalent to my ability. Doing Freelance could get me some relationships, might help me a lot when I do Startup in future. Who knows?
But make no mistake, we’re not advocating caving in and accepting peanuts. I always know my worth, negotiate for as much as I can get, and walk away if I am not satisfied. All we’re saying is there are extenuating circumstances every so often in which taking a job with lower pay could pay off in the long run.dontcheatus, freelancer
